New Norcross Residents Ask How to Grow Grass in Flooded Yards on Hunter Street

Email from the neighbors:

The Hunter Street neighborhood has concerns about the drainage of many of the lots/areas in the development.  There are many people; most of those on the outside strip, (opposite Hunter St.) that have constantly wet backyards and grass won't grow because of the saturation.  Additionally, there are some water standing issues around the "common" area, which is the middle section, of the neighborhood and the lots adjoining it.  This is the area that was designed to drain off within 24 hours.   Along with several of my neighbors,  met with Terry, Michael and the engineering team, and the city contracted about these issues on 3/27/06.  This engineering firm was going to come out and check to see if the developer installed the drainage system as per the plan that was approved originally.
